Tips for Making the Bathroom Shower more Appealing to your Kids

All parents struggle with a period of time during which their kids don’t want to shower. Obviously, they need to get clean in order to stay healthy so you can’t just let them win this argument. But there are some tricks that you can implement to make them thinking that getting in the bathroom shower is a good thing instead of a bad thing.
Here are some things you can do to make bathroom enclosures more appealing to kids:
- Add play toys. If kids have toys that they like but they’re only allowed to use them in the shower they’ll want to get in there now and then.
- Make bath time and story time the same time. Kids who love being read to will sit calmly in a bath if that’s where story time is held.
- Let them select some of the shower and bathroom accessories. Kids who feel like they helped decorate the bathroom will be more comfortable spending time there.
- Let them get into their bathing suits. Get in yours and shower together. They’ll still get clean enough if you only do it now and then. And you’ll both have a bit of fun!
Bath time doesn’t have to be a time for tears. Make the shower a fun place and the daily hassles will turn into part of a calm daily ritual.
