Careers in Crowd Control
By ECR on Aug 7, 2008 in Careers
We live in a society that socializes together which means that there are many different times when there are large crowds in a small area. This means that there is often the need for crowd control. And where there is a need for a service, there is the possibility of launching a career.
Here are some of the jobs that you could get if you were interested in working in the area of crowd control:
- Security. The most obvious job for controlling crowds is to become a security person working at events.
- Event set-up. When a large event is going to be held, crowd control barriers are typically set up. You can get a job being the set-up person.
- Equipment retailer. Someone has to sell or rent the crowd control equipment that is being used at events. You could launch a small business doing exactly that.
- Group psychology expert. There are psychological techniques that can be used to control crowds. You can get a PhD in group psychology and specialize in researching and writing on this topic.
Jobs in crowd control have been around for a long time but they are only just starting to get the recognition that they deserve as important jobs in society today.
